Who We Are: DRA works to connect the communities in the downtown area and provide the downtown with improvements as identified by our members. This enables the DRA to assist in combating community deterioration. All of our charitable efforts are put toward these specific projects. Our signature event - the Sip-n-Stroll - is the largest craft beer and wine festival in Downtown Greensboro.
Community Engagement Committee
We're looking for people passionate about creating change and improving our community to serve as leaders in the DRA Community Engagement Committee.
Responsibilities:
We're looking for people passionate about creating change and improving our community to serve as leaders in the DRA Community Engagement Committee.
Responsibilities:
- Attend 1 monthly committee meeting (approximately 1 hour long).
- Play an active role in DRA's communication efforts (approximately 3 - 5 hours per month) - lending your expertise and enthusiam to help with projects that include:
- Tracking downtown issues and opportunities to alert the DRA Board community to take action.
- Build relationships with community members and finding opportunities for community engagement by attending local meetings and keeping your ear to the ground.
- Assisting with community projects or days of action, for example planting flowers, arranging a coat drive, organizing a donation night, etc.
Communication Committee
We're looking for marketing professionals, media experts, graphic designers, social media gurus and other enthusiastic volunteers to join the DRA Communication Committee.

- Play an active role in DRA's communication efforts (approximately 3 - 5 hours per month) - lending your expertise in social media, blogging, online marketing, media, community events, etc. to help spread the word about DRA's work, upcoming events, and downtown happenings that impact the community.

Attend A MeetingConnect with like-minded people at the DRA Monthly Meeting. Meetings are typically held the 4th Tuesday of every month from 6:00-7:30 PM, at a different location to showcase all downtown Greensboro has to offer!
