DRA Committees | Ongoing
We're looking for passionate people, movers and shakers, and connected individuals who are excited about creating change and improving our community to serve as leaders in DRA Committees. Together, we'll identify projects and opportunities for making Downtown Greensboro a better place to live, work and play for all. Committees typically meets once a month.

Camille's Closet / Theo's Threads Shopping Days| April 12 - 14
Programs of the Greensboro Youth Council (GYC) are dedicated to collecting new and gently used formal dresses, tuxedos, dress shirts, shoes, and accessories to provide them free of charge to Guilford County's high school students who would otherwise be unable to afford them. Help provide young people with a safe and caring "shopping" experience by volunteering to help find an outfit they'll love. Help is also needed for setup and breakdown.
Want to help, but can't attend? Donate! The formal wear drive runs February 26 - March 19 collecting shoes and accessories for young men and women.
Farmers Curb Market Volunteer| Ongoing
The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market needs help from the community! They are seeking volunteers who can help upcoming events:
- Office Volunteers - Thursdays from 10a - 2p
- Internship Opportunities
Duties and responsibilities may include: greeting the community, event set up, food prep, serving, breakdown, maintain distribution area cleanliness. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and be on feet for extended period of time. Volunteer questions? Email gfmarketevents@gmail.com.
arcBARKS Dog Treat Bakery| Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Ongoing
As an arcBARKS volunteer, your role will be in assisting the bakery manager to assure the chef's are keeping with the daily task charts. Other assistance may be needed with clean-up and customer service. Volunteer shifts are typically 3 hours, but 1.5 hours are needed at minimum.
Urban Beautification Project | Ongoing
Volunteers are needed to work with DRA, DGI and the City of Greensboro to create a vibrant and colorful city center by planting perennials and annuals and maintaining select plots of city property and numerous large city owned planters. Volunteers will work in small groups and would “service” their assigned plots, or planters four times a year.

Computer Lab Instructors | Ongoing
Reading Connections, Inc. needs computer instructors to work with small groups of adult students in the computer lab to teach:
basic computer skills, resume writing, MS Word, and more.

Greensboro Bound: A Literary Festival, a new ongoing festival coming to Greensboro officially in 2018 is looking for help to get things off the ground. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a new event that brings people together.
