ABOUT
Our Mission
As a 501(c)(3) public charity and all-inclusive membership organization, the Greensboro DRA has a three-part mission:
Connect people through volunteer opportunities and networking that promote our community
Inform our members of the latest issues and developments within the city
Serve as a voice for the issues that help improve the quality of life in our center city
Who We Are: DRA works to connect the communities in the downtown area and provide the downtown with improvements as identified by our members. This enables the DRA to assist in combating community deterioration. All of our charitable efforts are put toward these specific projects. Our signature event - the Sip-n-Stroll - is the largest craft beer and wine festival in Downtown Greensboro.
The Greensboro DRA is a 501(c)(3) public charity organization that shares a vision of a vibrant, connected, safe, and diverse center city. The association gives a unified voice to the people who live, work, learn, and play in the downtown area and who would like to assist in guiding the growth and development.

You do not have to live downtown to be a member. All membership funds raised go towards charitable public work projects for downtown Greensboro!
Projects We Support
Sip-n-Stroll
The Greensboro DRA hosts an annual Sip-n-Stroll fundraiser, with the net proceeds raised allocated to support projects that combat community deterioration in downtown Greensboro.
Downtown Greenway
The Greensboro DRA has pledged support to the Downtown Greenway and in turn will have a commemorative naming opportunity in the form of a bicycle rack that will be located at the "Freedom Cornerstone" at the intersection of Gate City Boulevard and Murrow Boulevard. The Downtown Greenway will run 4 miles around Greensboro's center city, passing through more than a dozen neighborhoods.

Del Vajdl
MARKETING
Del moved to Greensboro originally in 2003 from Durham, NC to attend Greensboro College for undergrad. Post graduation, she began her career in the financial services industry at Lincoln Financial Group in the heart of downtown where she’s built a thriving career for the last 15 years as AVP leading their Internal Sales team. Her career actually took her up north to the Philadelphia area in 2017 where Lincoln’s corporate office is but one positive from Covid was she was fortunate to move back home to NC to lead remotely and boomeranged back to good ol’ Greensboro. Del loves supporting anything local and is excited to see so much growth downtown in just the last few years with more restaurants, breweries, bars, stores, and offering a variety of festivals/events for all (her favs are Otis & Wawa bar crawls, of course) but you’ll see her sipping an iced latte or sparkly cocktail at her favorite spot, Borough Market + Bar! Fun fact - Del is a Yelp Elite and plays roller derby for Relentless Roller Derby - local team to Greensboro!

Bob G Williams
MEMBERSHIP SAVINGS CARD CHAIR
Bob, a graduate of Appalachian State University, has lived in Westerwood for 13 years. He worked 40 years as a journalist, including 34 years at the News & Record, where he held various management positions in the News Department. He retired in 2014. When he had time to escape the newsroom, he would explore the nooks and crannies of downtown. There is no alley he hasn’t walked, no building he hasn’t entered. Bob has two married sons, who he enjoys sharing downtown breweries and restaurants with when he gets the chance and bring them with stories about the evolution of downtown.
