EVENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES

​DRA Committees | Ongoing
We're looking for passionate people, movers and shakers, and connected individuals who are excited about creating change and improving our community to serve as leaders in DRA Committees. Together, we'll identify projects and opportunities for making Downtown Greensboro a better place to live, work and play for all. Committees typically meet once a month.

Community Engagement Committee
​We're looking for people passionate about creating change and improving our community to serve as leaders in the DRA Community Engagement Committee.

Responsibilities:

• Attend 1 monthly committee meeting (approximately 1 hour long).

• Play an active role in DRA's communication efforts (approximately 3 - 5 hours per month) - lending your expertise and enthusiam to help with projects that include:

  • Tracking downtown issues and opportunities to alert the DRA Board community to take action.

  • Build relationships with community members and finding opportunities for community engagement by attending local meetings and keeping your ear to the ground.

  • Assisting with community projects or days of action, for example planting flowers, arranging a coat drive, organizing a donation night, etc.

Communication Committee
​We're looking for marketing professionals, media experts, graphic designers, social media gurus and other enthusiastic volunteers to join the DRA Communication Committee.

Responsibilities:

• Attend 1 monthly committee meeting (approximately 1 hour long).

• Play an active role in DRA's communication efforts (approximately 3 - 5 hours per month) - lending your expertise in social media, blogging, online marketing, media, community events, etc. to help spread the word about DRA's work, upcoming events, and downtown happenings that impact the community.
